Tuney Tuesday
Today had tunes playing all over the place with the main focus of the day being the ensembles night and rehersal.
I was one of about 16 backstage crew (a few were year 7s and 8s who I had never seen before and were bloody annoying, noisy and lacked common sense) who had the fun job of moving choir risers, chairs and music stands around. Very fun indeed... Not.
The rehersal went for most of the day, 9 till 1:30, and goed without a hitch. A few of the initial layouts were changed, but nothing too dramatic. The night itself (6:45 till 10) went pretty well too and the music was enjoyed by all. One of the pieces the full orchestra played (Into the storm) I swear I've heard before, but I don't know.

Now I want to go listen to some loud music. I wonder if the neighbours will mind...

Mad Monday
Well today was slightly mad. 108 people were absent today, mostly sick. It appears that the flu is going around, hitting some people more than others. A few of my friends have been really sick, hope they get better soon.
The rest of the day was pretty normal.

The bigish highlight of the day was the termly social. 3 hours of loud music (119dB SPL on the sound meter), psychedelic lights (mmm UV) and one tired DJ (me). Near the end I thought I was going to run out of music, but I was alright. What really annoyed me was that I had left a CD at home which happened to have a lot of the stuff people were requesting. Overall it was quite good.
But tiring. Which means a nice long sleep. Thankfully tomorrow theres a rehersal for most of the day for the ensemble concert that night.

Strange Sunday
As stated in the previous post, I had work today at 9. What was strange was that work was closed, door locked and all with a group of to-be-customers waiting outside. After some questioning and some phone calls, the new CEO (of Bendigo Trust, who was supposed to start his new job tomorrow) came up and unlocked the door. After stabbing of the alarm panel and a 10 min phone call from the security monitoring company saying the alarm went off, all was well. Running a business as large as Discovery by yourself is quite interesting. Especially when the float and change tins are locked in the safe which you don't know the combination to (work now owes me $46.70, yay).
But I got there in the end.

And when I got home I realised I had an english oral and a chemistry assignment to do, both due tomorrow.
And to top it all off, I'm getting a cold.

How fun.

Sleepy Saturday
Well there's not really all that much to say about today.

Got up at 8:30am, I really didn't want to but I had to, and went to work at 9.

While I was at work, the Pioneer demo car visited next door (Autobarn) with it's collection of subwoofers. Pics here, here and here.

I want six.

Got home from work at 12:30 and had lunch from Maccas - Chicken Caesar Deli Choice, really really nice. Then I went orienteering out near Maidan Gully (which I found out it was named that because there was no gold found there during the gold rush), came home at 4 and had tea which was some whacky pasta and beef creation. Then I went to the Bendigo Competitions Inc's 80th Eisteddfod to do audio stuff until 10pm which is where I am now. Not much really happened but it was tiring.

Lucky me is working tomorrow, starting at 9am. Yay.

Fantastic Friday
Heh I'm starting to like this title scheme...

Anyway, today was fantastic. Well not fantastic but it was good, better than normal.

First of the good things was double PE where we went to the gym and helped the little kids (Preps and Year 2s). That feeling you get when you know you've done something good just blows your mind, theres a little bit of embarrassment in there too with the thinking of 'Why the hell am I actually doing this?'. But it's all good feelings.

Another good thing was seeing Star Wars Episode 3 with some friends. Really good movie, highly recommended. I was also slightly hoping that... no I won't go there.

Numerous other unimportant good things happened too.

Wow. I can't believe I just wrote all that in about a minute. Feeling really good is great. I hope this happens more often.

Heh.
