Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?

Tired Tuesday
I actually started writing this post last night, but didn't get around to posting it.
Last night was the Millward house dinner, held at the Strath sports club. Me and a friend left at 2 (though we were supposed to leave at 1:30 *cough*) to go out and set up a full sound, lighting and video system before the 6:30/7 start. Things were very rushed with a bit of gear left behind. Setup involved a far bit of crawling under the 40cm high stage to run cables too.
The night went pretty flawlessly, only one or two minor problems (and one semi-major involving dry solder joints in the mixer). The food was great too, we were blessed with jugs of cordial and a 2 course meal of chicken mignon and apple strudel.
It was scheduled to finish at 10:30 (with the formalities finishing at 10) but we ended up finishing them at 25 to 11, skipping the last half hour.
After a quickish packup, I managed to get home at 11:30.
Nothing much happened today, usual classes (some involved catching up on sleep) and then going to work afterwards.

Only 3 days to go...

Sticky Sunday
Wee. The last weekend before the holidays.
As usual, on Saturday morning I went to work. It wasn't raining as I expected, infact it was quite warm, so I ended up going to orienteering. It was the annual Mars bar cup, so I left my 5.1km course with a full stomach.
Today I went to my other work. The new exhibition from Scienceworks in Melbourne, Megawatt, arrived during the week so I had a play around with them and had a whinge for a bit. I then continued rebuilding a bigish exhibit, involving 2 tubes of sticky araldite and metho-soaked paper towels. I left a bit earlier than usual to go to the cinemas to see Charlie and the chocolate factory with a group of friends, though the organiser couldn't make it. It's a good movie but quite scary in the annoying and WTF sense.
So theres my weekend.
Also, keep watching here as the design continues to evolve. Upcoming features include a proper archiving system, instead of having to flick through 8 pages to get the previous posts.
Have a great night.

'fficial Friday
And so ends another busy week, with another one to follow.
Tonight was the official opening of the new gym, swimming pool and extension to one of the buildings at school. I took period 5 off (2:30) to go to the rushed set up for the 4:30 start. People from all over the place were there - senators, ministers, TV crew, newspaper reporters and crazy randoms with a lot of money. The evening consisted of songs, prayers, the orchestra and lengthy speeches followed by an afterparty over in the gym until about 7pm. A fun night indeed.
Today was also another Open Day, so I only had one class - the rest were spent guiding people around (and setting up for the opening night).
Tomorrow I'm off to work and then probably orienteering in the afternoon. On Sunday I'm working in the morning and then going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with a group of friends. And then on Monday I'm helping out at a school house dinner, free food for me. Somewhere among all that I need to finish off my English assessment task too.
So there's a few jam-packed days coming up, with the formal and last day of term on Friday as well.
Also, as I write there's a nice big thunderstorm outside, with nice big orange and red patches according to the BOM website. It's been going for the past few hours, with the first signs around 4. At about 9, the heavens opened up and Big cracks of lighting and thunder, heavy downpours of rain and some power outages. Maybe I won't be going orienteering tomorrow afterall.
Now to catch up on some more lost sleep...

Truthful Tuesday
This may be an awkward and possibly short post since I'm kind of tired and this is the third time I've attempted to write this.
Nothing much happened on Monday - the usual classes, watching crazy educational videos made in the 80s and sleeping.
Today was pretty much the same. Slept in Jap, bummed around in English, slept some more in Business Management and printed 'Hello. I am Mr Burns, what's your name?' to the reception printer anonymously in Info. Just before going to Info I had a look around the new Gym. 2 great big courts, big canteen/kitchen and a bunch of classrooms at this stage. While I was over there I helped with the installation of some of the computers going in, which involved holesawing into nice thick burning craft wood.
After school I went to work as usual.
I've also been spending a bit of time on the design of this site, now that I've finished the backend it's time to make it pretty. One of the most prominent changes is the permalinks for these posts which can be either http://mazzanet.id.au/news/[post ID] or http://mazzanet.id.au/news/[year]/[month]/[day].
Finally, for the part hour or so I've been semi-deeply discussing relationships, risks and chances with a friend. So many thoughts now running through my head... What to do? What could result from it? What could in wrong? What will other people think? Does their opinion even matter?
Bah.

Snoozeful Sunday
Not sure if snoozeful is a real word but it pretty much describes the how the last few days have been like.
Our production went public on Thursday night and finished last night. Each night I haven't gotten home until as late as 11:00 and last night I didn't get home until 12 due to bump out. I was also working on Thursday and walked straight from work to the theatre and yesterday I was working from 9 till 12:30 and went orienteering from 1 till 3:30, so I haven't had any time to post at all.
The production went mostly without a hitch, apart from getting censored by the headmaster (42 line changes because of words like 'bugger', 'bitch', 'bastard' and 'asshole'). We also lost and gained tech crew members too, we started with 7 on the first night and finished with 4 on the last night, but we managed to get through it fine. I've also named Cafe El Beso my er 'official' coffee shop for when I'm in that area since I've been grabbing a coffee before and after shows every time I've been at the Capital.
Today was spent at work as usual. Highlights including actually having breakfast, having a friend visit to pick up something they left behind at the production and having a uh fine *cough* young girl on work experience visit.
So now it's back to 'normal' but still hectic school-filled weeks with a few major assessment tasks (small rant, English must be the most useless subject ever. Sure, up to say year 8/9 is good to get the basic and useful skills, but anything past that is mostly writing bloody essays and analysing books. I don't see when I'll ever need to do that in life, but English is the exam that matters the most in year 12. I just don't get it.) due and an exam on Friday. Term also finishes next week.
What fun.
