Moody Monday
Hurrah! I'm back. From... lazy land...
Going back in time to a few weeks ago, back into the holidays. It seems I declared Saturday nights to be movie nights, almost every Saturday on the holidays I saw a movie. In the following weeks I went and saw Memoirs of a Geisha and Munich with friends, both very good movies which I would recommend.
Weekdays during the holidays largely consisted of work.
Last Monday was our semi-typical 'just before school' pool party, this time at a friend's place. The day consisted of relaxing, eating pizza, watching some very crazy movies and bumming around in the park laughing at some crazy Jackass-try-hards on bikes. Quite a fun day.
Tuesday was the first day of the wonderous schooling year. *cough* A few notable things have changed this year so far. Firstly theres the new traffic lights along High Street allowing us to 'cross campuses easier'. Such a shame the electrical contractors working on them were only informed of them a week or two ago, coming to get parts from me at work.
Another change is that my locker now lives in the campus across the road. And all my classes are at the main campus. Thus, my bag is now my locker. It's somewhat heavy too, carrying all my books (which consist of a grand total of 3 folders). Not happy.
This year I'm doing English, Gen Maths A, Methods, Physics, Chem along with 3/4 Electronics, IT and Music Industry. On Thursday, I dropped English for the new English Language which is all about the 'history' of our language, how it works and how we adapt/learn it. It actually sounds remotely interesting. And scales up for my ENTER.
Work-wise, I'm back to my usual drill of Jaycar on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, and Discovery on Sundays.
A recent happening at Discovery last week was me having the fun job of migrating the NT4 server to Linux. With a 400mb harddrive. And a 1x CD drive. Very fun.
Today I posted off my wireless accesspoint up to Sydney to get replaced after it killed itself magically. Speaking of wireless, I'm currently in the process of constructing a 6m comms mast/tower on my shed, just because I can. Pics of my test mast (and my spunky new 24dBi antenna) here. The 2m UHF whip antenna for my scanner with go on the mast as well, speaking of which, I have a semi-24/7 (not weekends, because I'll have it at work) scanner stream running. A link will appear among the links on the left some time soon.
In other news, I have a new mobile. My old one died. It died when I backed over it in work's van. That is all.
I was also going to have a little rant too, explaining the title. But I forgot. And have no time. I'll probably have my little rant tomorrow or another night soon.
So what a fun holidays it has been, now it's back to work.
It's also getting late.
Have a great night.
