Sleepy Saturday
I suppose it's time for another post, so let's get straight into it.
Thursday was mostly uneventful, work, until about 11pm. My computer decided to die and not come back to life. I woke up a bit earlier on Friday to have a look at it. When I tried to turn it on, a small puff of smoke whifted out of the case and some sizzling was heard. Upon closer inspection, a little chunk out of one of the chips on the motherboard was missing. Dead as a dodo.
After the initial shock, I went off to work for the day.
At about 7 I went to the cinemas with a friend and saw Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo. It was one of the most funniest movies I have seen for a while, highly recommended. Afterwards I went over to said friends place for pizza. I won't go into too much detail due to the reading of these posts by various individuals, all I will say is that is was a great night. I've also had the usual follow-up 'lectures' from various people telling me I should have done this and that. Mostly that 'advice' is useless as I've heard it millions of times before, though sometimes there's the odd tip that could prove useful in the future. I still go by my own rule of doing what I feel is right.
Today I got up at 7 after having only a bit less than 6 hours sleep and went to work. After work I drove around town to the few computer shops shopping for a new motherboard and CPU, I ended up getting an Athlon 64 3200+. It turned out the problems were caused by the power supply carking it, I took the cover off and found a bunch of exploded/leaky components.
Looks like I may be doing some more shopping tomorrow.

So, how much "fun" did you have, and who with? :p
And I would have expected a person of your stature to have gotten a better compy than that :p
