Weary Wednesday
Well I broke my pseudo-promise. I have a somewhat legitimate excuse though, lack of sleep.
Monday was quite an interesting day.
First up was er... some classes which I can't remember. Next up we all went and watched the Matrix in both third and forth periods for REPD.
For lunch me and some friends went and got pizza which got devoured pretty quickly. Lunch actually marked the end of the day as the school closed down for Mrs Jenkin's funeral.
The funeral was actually quite an experience, it was the first funeral I've been to. It was held in the Strath community hall and there was so many people there it wasn't funny, we ended up sitting on the floor up the back and there was still a fair few people behind us. I can't really describe how I felt about it all, all the hymns, speeches, bible readings and the guard of honour. It was quite saddening.
After the funeral I headed over to the Conservatory to see how things were going with a friend who was setting up for a house dinner. He actually had a nice surprise for me. In the whole entire area we were in, there was a grand total of 3 powerpoints. One on one side of the building, one on the other side and one that was very randomly sitting in the middle of the roof. They had fun.
Tuesday was just as er 'easy'. First two periods were mostly sleeping, we had fill-ins who had no work for us. Next, I was going to have a Business SAC but it got canceled because half the class wasn't there. That was the last class of the day because it was out to a house dinner for me. It was at the same place as another one I did last term, so setting up was a breeze as I knew where everything needed to go. There was a band playing. They were crap. I should have taken the vocal auto tuner.
After the quick set up, I went to work. The head of us techs came into work, on the way to take some other members of the team to other house dinners happening that night, which a 4 channel lighting dimmer with a missing fuse holder. No idea where it went, it just disappeared. Also while I was taking out the 24 screws holding the cover on, he told me to hurry up as he had 3 kids in his car who were almost killing each other. One of the 3 was a friend who I was SMSing not that long before and got stuck with 2 very annoying/stupid people. I pointed and laughed. I got abused. I laughed some more. They had fun that night.
My house dinner was a success. The gear held up another brutal beating, except for some dodgy projector screen that someone found somewhere that required gaffer to hold it up. The pack up was even quick. The waiters/waitresses were also some friends so I got great food. A great night indeed.
Today was slightly back to normal, all the usual classes and sleep though a few people were missing due to camps.

It's getting rather late and I need more sleep.
Have a great night and look after yourselves.
